Did I mention?

That I'm aware my blog is now only interesting for those who are into the Lucy pics? That I'm in love with my new camera? That I can't wait until March 1st to come back and see everyone? That I hope everyone is doing well? Love ya!

NEW CAMERA! Merry Christmas to me!

So I had my new camera exactly 5 minutes before we took these beauties. I haven't even figured out all the settings or how to use it. We just turned it on, put it on automatic and took these bad boys. I think I'm going to be obsessed. I just wish we would have bought this before she was born.

Made it!

Well I made it through the week which I consider a great accomplishment. We had a fun weekend catching up with friends and buying a new TV! Whoo hoo! We are pretty excited about that. Anyway here are a couple of Luce pics from the week, she is starting to be so much more interactive, its the best. Oh and I also got tagged so here are 6 things you probably don't know about me.

1- I'm really bad at listening to voicemails. I just call people back. I listen to the message long enough to get the name, then hang up and call the person back. I figure by the time I listen to a whole message I can call you back and get all the info! So when I call you back and you ask me, did you get my voicemail, chances are I got it but didn't listen to it, just called you back!

2- In 8th grade when Mr. Fullmer announced over the intercom that they had a sparkly purple retainer in the office. That was my sparkly purple retainer. Someone found it in the hall and turned it in. I had to go ask for it from a hot 9th grader. The shame!

3- I have had many eyebrow waxing catastropies due to being too lazy to go get them done by a professional. These include waxing both eyes completely shut, waxing one eyebrow completely off, and accidentally giving my little sister a curious eyebrow. (One eyebrow normal, the other with a severely high arch. She looked very inquisitive for about a month.)

4- I am sort of a ridiculously fast reader. It is my one talent.

5- I lied, I have another talent. I rock at useless trivia games - Trivial Pursuit and Jeopardy are my beeyotches.

6- I have a crush on Zac Efron that I'm hoping to pass onto Lucy, but I'm pretty sure everyone already knew that.

Survival

I have been a working mom for exactly 9 business days and it is absolutely the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. I feel like I am being pulled in a million different directions and am not doing anything well.

Here is a little snapshot of my day today.

Lucys 2 month shots, cried, Pediatrician out of infant Tylenol, swore and cried, booked it to the store so she could get the medicine within 30 min of shots, gave Lucy infant Tylenol in the middle of the store with 2 minutes to spare, ran over my stroller with the 4runner, swore and cried, pumped while on a conference call praying no one would ask me what the noise was.

Listened to Lucy cry with Trent while I was in a meeting and dying to just run out the door and make her feel better. Worked 10 hours instead of 6, felt guilty for working 10 hours instead of 6. Still have 90 emails to respond to. Didn't unpack, didn't make dinner, didn't clean anything. Didn't exercise, didn't put makeup on. Too tired to do anything but hold my baby.

Moms are my heroes. Mom, I never thanked you enough for everything you did for me.

P.S how is a pediatrician out of infant tylenol? Honestly?

P.S.S or P.P.S Blogging is healthy venting, I feel much better now and am less likely to take this horrible day out on my husband!

For Trent

Trent went back to Columbus last Sunday and gave us an extra week to hang out with family and friends. I know he misses Lucy like crazy so I wanted to get him some pics to tide him over until we get home on Sunday. Lucy is changing every single day. This week she discovered her left fist (not her right) and TV. She loves watching the screen no matter what is on. Love ya babe, see ya soon!
Watching the Tube, could she be anymore into it?

Lucy's Blessing Day

We blessed Lucy Lou on the 30th at my parent's ward. Trent did such an awesome job. He choked up right at the beginning and I was worried that he wouldn't be able to get through it and then he just gave her such a beautiful blessing. He is such a great dad and it was fun to have so many people who love her there to support us. Lucy wore the dress that my sisters and I were all blessed in, complete with bonnet and booties. It was one of the those perfect days. I have been so incredibly grateful these past few weeks for a healthy and happy baby, honestly I couldn't ask for anything more. It really put things into perspective for me during the season that usually has me thinking about new boots. :) Anyway, I need to get some pics from my mom's camera, for some reason I don't have one with all 3 of us together, or the 4 generations pic with my other amazing Grandma. I am also aware of my subpar picture quality with my horrible camera! I know where my Christmas $ is going that's for sure. But here are a couple until I get the good ones. She still looks pretty dang cute.

Merry Christmas!

The Blog Slacker is trying to catch up!! I would like to say I haven't had time, but the truth is my parent's internet is so slow I can't even use it because I get so frustrated! We had such a great Christmas this year. Lucy just made it so much more fun, even though she won't know what is going on for a few more years. We spent Christmas Eve and morning with my family then went down to the Richards for Christmas afternoon and night. It really was awesome to be with everyone that we love. We really were spoiled all around, and so was Lucy. On Christmas Eve we were helping out my mom's friend by taking care of the puppy she was suprising her family with for Christmas. So we had a puppy and a baby! Doesn't get much better than that.

The boys and girls in their Christmas pajamas. We girls got boyfriend sweats from Victoria's Secret Pink, and they are the best sweatpants I have ever had. Considering the amount of time I spend in sweatpants now that I work from home, that says A LOT.

My Christmas present from Michael. And Dr. McDreamy really does get me steamy now that I have seen ENCHANTED! Loved that movie!

Lucy and her cousin Owen who is six days older. I love this picture!

Lucy and her Great Grandma Love, who has been waiting forever to have a Great Grandbaby. I need to find a pic of her Christmas party because our camera died. Trent was Joseph, I was Mary and Lucy made her debut as the baby Jesus. Classic.

The nieces and their raincoats they got for Christmas. They had to put them on immediately.

Welcome to Miami, Bienvenido a Miami

Matt's wedding was beautiful and a lot of fun.. We salsa danced the night away, or attempted to anyway. Lucy was so good on the flight and at the wedding.
