So you Think you Can DANCE

The So You Think You Can Dance show was last night here in Columbus, I convinced Trent we needed to go and that was the best decision I have ever made! It was so awesome! It was 2 and 1/2 hours long and both Trent and I said we were not bored once. They did all my favorite dances from the season and a few new ones that were cool. The entire top ten did solos too. I knew they were crazy talented, but live it was really amazing all of the different things they are able to do.

Danny, Neal & Sabra were the best, but everyone was SO good. I guess Lacey has been injured because she only danced 1 number and Shauna or Anya filled in for her on the other ones. No big deal for me, as Lacey isn't my fave. The best part was the people we were sitting by were freaking out the whole time, like little kids they were so excited they were giggling. I will definitely go again next year if it rolls on through Columbus. Only downside, they think Dominic is way funnier than he is, so he had lots of speaking stage time and he bugs me when he talks so I was annoyed. But I forgave him when he danced my favorite hip hop routine with Sabra.

It is still the plan to pop out the baby and start training so Trent & I can try out for So You Think You Can Dance 2010. Watch for us.

Happy Halloween!

We went to a fun Halloween party on Saturday night, we didn't put tons of effort into costumes this year, not as much fun dressing up when you are having a baby in a week and 1/2, but I still get a kick out of Trent as a gladiator/Nephi. There were some great costumes at the party, it was a good time and its been nice to make such fun friends here. Also, if you want to see a couple of killer Halloween costumes check out Sara and Jordan's blogs. Honestly the funniest costumes EVER. You jerks made me homesick! And I also have to post a pic of my little sister Jenny as Laura Bush because that is way too good not to post.

14 Days and Counting

I finally had Trent take a side view of what I have going on so everyone can enjoy being 38 weeks pregnant right along with me. Here we are, me and Lucy just hanging out. I can't wait to hold her in my arms instead of in my ribs.

Who Knew?

Yesterday we ventured to Circleville, Ohio to attend the annual pumpkin festival. We heard that we HAD to go from about ten people so we decided to check it out with a few of our friends. There was so much traffic on the way out that I thought there would be nothing that was worth the drive. But then we arrived on another planet. It was seriously the craziest thing I have ever seen. Thousands and thousands of people (I honestly felt like we were on the strip in Vegas) descend on this little town for the pumpkin donuts, burgers, chili, crepes, cannolis and any other pumpkin treat you can think of. They also have a pumpkin queen pageant, pumpkin weigh-in contest and the world's largest pumpkin pie. (14 feet in diameter, took ten hours to bake) The line for pumpkin donuts was 1 hour and 1/2 long so we didn't get to try that delicacy unfortunately, but just the fact that someone would wait in line for 1 hour and 1/2 tells me that next year I should go earlier in the day to try and snag one. I did have pumpkin pie ice cream, and that was delicious! We did happen to catch the hog calling contest, so that was a highlight. Honestly it was a lot of fun, FYI the winning pumpkin weighed in at 1500 pounds! Total insanity.

PBR in the House

Nothing could be more exciting than a Friday night at PBR. That's Professional Bull Riding people. It would be a mistake to call it a rodeo, trust me, we learned that the hard way. I know I need to take an updated belly pic, but for now here is one of my big face, instead of my big stomach.

Kentucky!

Well we finally went and did something cool, and of course we forgot our camera. So just pretend I took these pictures because this is what we saw! Friday afternoon we drove down to Louisville, Kentucky to go to the Utah vs. Louisville game that night. It ended up being really fun, Trent was in heaven and had no voice the next day, but it was SO hot and humid. My feet & ankles swelled to the point where I could not see any ankle bones, I could push my finger in them and leave an indent! Pretty nasty. That is the main reason I am so mad we forgot our camera, those ankles deserve to be remembered. Oh and Kentucky was really pretty. It was an exciting game, and actually really fun to be part of the small group cheering for the away team. We sat right by the players and they could actually hear us yelling for them instead of just being part of a huge crowd and they would yell back, after they won we all sang Utah man and it was awesome.

The next morning we decided to check out Churchill Downs, the racetrack where they run the Kentucky Derby every year. I knew nothing about the Derby except that they wear big hats, and it turned out to be really interesting. The history and everything that goes into that race is crazy, and the horses are amazing. It's always fun to learn about something new.

Flashback Friday

With Halloween ( my second favorite holiday) coming up, I thought it was only right to showcase last year's ensembles. It was hands down the best Halloween ever because I dressed up in 2 different costumes. This year my costume choices will be a bit limited, but I'm sort of thinking of being a school bus. Trent said no go to Zac Efron & Gabriella from High School Musical. Why will he dress up as Paris Hilton but not Zac? Its a mystery to me. We are a little sad that there will be no Lucy Halloween costume this year, so close, yet so far. I want to know what all my little nieces & Cole are being for Halloween this year!
Last year's costumes began with Sara, Gaby, Amber & I dressing up as Matt & Dean (our coworkers) for the office party. Wasn't too hard, brown shoes, black belts, pleated pants, fleece vests and our good friend Chris Shill making us masks out of their faces from the company photo. We won the costume contest and lunch at Pei Wei.. They said this year for their revenge they would dress up like me & Sara. Matt even told me he borrowed his sisters gauchos! I really hope they follow through.

Then Trent & I went as Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie for our friends party. Trent looks really good in my leggings and Uggs. And as I'm writing this I realize that this Halloween, Nicole & I are both pregnant! What are the odds? We just have so much in common. We should be jailbird Paris and knocked up Nicole this year. That actually is a pretty good idea. If anyone has any other ideas for a prego costume - please help a sister out.

As If I Need Another Guilty Pleasure...

Inspired by Erin's post about fall TV shows. Here is a new one that I have picked up watching with a couple of girls from my ward on Wednesday nights. We have been doing a double-header that starts out with American's Next Top Model & ends with my new favorite guilty pleasure GOSSIP GIRL. Wednesday is quickly becoming my favorite TV night of the week right behind Thursday.. The Office still kills me, I honestly spit out my drink when Michael hit Meredith, but my jury is still out on Greys.

As much as I love TV shows that I'm not embarrassed to admit I like (Prison Break, Heroes, etc) I really am starting to enjoy the trashy ones a little bit more.. I'm not sure what that says about me, and not sure I really care!

I also made another important discovery this week. As much as I love Google and Google Images for when I am trying to find something, especially a clothing article or name of a song or movie I can't think of, here is a disclaimer... when you are pregnant and find your first stretch marks DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT google stretch marks. This episode will surely end in tears, because you have no idea how many people felt the need to post the pics of their stomach after having twins or triplets. Its a scary thing, so I guess the point of this side note is.. Google wisely.
