In early December I went to LA to help with our yearly model shoot of the promotional collections. This year we are also launching Bridal so it was extra exciting/stressful. We decided last minute to include brides so we scrounged up 5 dresses for our 5 bridal looks. One dress per look. I watch enough Rachel Zoe to know that this is a recipe for disaster. What if a dress doesn't fit the model its intended for, how do you work this *#%(( steamer, etc.. We got really lucky and each dress worked great. I was pretending I knew what I was doing, and when I couldn't get one dress tight enough on the size 0 model with the pins, I used an ELECTRICAL CLAMP :) Just told the photographer, yeah, she can't do any shots from the back with this dress on. I went over to my boss Amber and said. I think I'm in shock because I just electrical clamped a VERA WANG. And if I run into you anytime soon, be sure and ask me about the bearded model that showed up. I mean seriously?!!
Anyway - we did a behind the scenes video for our distributors and I love it. The soundtrack is so cool I swear it could be me brushing my teeth and it would still be a rad video. If you look closely you will see one shot of me - holding a Diet Coke can and thanking my reality TV show addiction for finally paying off! So there Trent! :)

One Year Ago Today...
It was one year ago today that Trent called me and gave me the news that he matched in Utah. For some reason this milestone has me looking back over the last 365 days more than the actual new year that has just started. One year ago I was 36 weeks pregnant with Ruby, we were living in Columbus, I was the sole, pitiful income source for the fam, Lucy wasn't into Justin Bieber. The time just seems to speed up and fly by me faster than I can get a handle on it. A few hard things, but many more wonderful things sum up our 2011. My friend Sara told me recently that she tries not to think too much about it when she is going through a rough patch. Only afterwards she looks back and says, wow I never want to do that again. I have thought about that a lot when getting used to Trent's unpredictable schedule, dealing with Ruby STILL not sleeping through the night, and I think I want to be more like her. Because pretty soon it will be one year from today and I'll still be wishing time would slow down. Life is good and life is short. Let's enjoy every day of it. Even the house is a disaster, Ruby is eating crayons, still have work to do, how am I still in my pajamas at 10 p.m. kind of days that seem to make up my life. And that is my New Year's Resolution. Well lets get real. Along with planning meals a week in advance, eating healthier, continuing to work out every day, being more thoughtful, following a budget, FHE every week, scriptures with Lucy every night, better temple attendance. Yep I think that's it, wish me luck, I think that's a pretty attainable list :).

I could be biased but...
Like I said, I could be biased somehow, but I just feel so lucky today to be the mom of the WORLD'S FUNNIEST GIRLS!
Here is Lucy before her first Primary Program. She had been practicing her part "religiously" PUN INTENDED. Oh man, I am funny. Anyway she would just spout it out randomly throughout the day. I kept telling her to be sure she slowed down so people would understand her. The day of the program she said Mom don't worry, I will say my part LOUD AND CLEAR. And she did just that, yep she was the one who blew everyone's eardrums. I think the elderly population in our ward really appreciated it. Trent was so proud that she got the biggest laugh of the program. I personally thought most of the children were TOO well behaved, what's the fun in that? :) She kept making the funniest faces through the program and I laughed through the whole thing.
Here is our Ruby Jane, happy as always. Rubes is our little ray of crazy, wild sunshine. She seriously is the funniest baby ever. I laugh at her all day long. Someone said to me the other day that they could tell Ruby was Lucy's little sister because she already has picked up on all of her mischievous tricks. AND THAT my friends - is sooooo true.

Trying to convince Rubes to be Hello Kitty for Halloween - didn't happen :)
Why on earth would you buy toys, if you have cups???

Family Pictures -2011
My awesome friend Shannon took our family pictures again this year. I love candid family photos and I feel that she captured this time in our life perfectly.

The Cabin
Trent's parents bought a new cabin up in Star Valley and we finally made it up there for Labor Day. It is really beautiful there and we had a fun weekend hanging out with Christian, Janae and Company. Lucy had a great time playing with her cousins and we were able to relax a little bit. The only downside was when I got home and realized that I had left my wallet in the nightstand drawer and I was leaving for New York the next morning. Thank goodness I had a passport! I am sooo smart. Another trip highlight (lowlight) was on the drive up Lucy kept complaining that her stomach hurt. Me the insensitive Mom kept telling her she needed to eat something for breakfast.. Suddenly she throws up and catches most of it in her cupped hands! Poor little thing was carsick. There was seriously hardly any mess because she caught most of it and held it in her hands until we could pull over. What a champ!
Enjoying the sun
Catching Bugs...
I'm as big as my 7 year old cousin!
